Mass functions in Impel help you perform common activities multiple accounts, contacts, etc with very few clicks. Instead of performing the same operation one by one on multiple records, you can perform them on a set of selected records with this functionality. The common supported Mass functions in Impel are:
- Mass Deactivate
- Merge
- Mass Update
Mass SMS
You can use this feature to send out an SMS / text message to selected customers. First, select the template that you want to send from the list of SMS templates. Next, click on "Filter your data" to choose exactly who you want to send the SMS to by selecting the criteria that you want and clicking on the "Search" button. On the list of customers that appears, you can also click on the exact users that you want to send the SMS out to by just clicking on the selection box next to the user's name. Clicking on the "Send!" button will send out the selected template SMS to all the people that you have chosen.
Mass Email:
Mass Email works exactly the same way as Mass SMS. The only difference is that you would select an Email template instead of an SMS template and your chosen contacts would receive an Email as opposed to an SMS text message.
The Mass Email functionality also supports a schedule mechanism, where you can schedule bulk emails to be sent at a scheduled time. Impel provides a set of pre-defined and standard email templates while you can also build your own email template. With the advanced email statistics available in Impel, you can also gain insights on the click through and bounce rates.
Mass Update:
Use this function to modify / add a value to a single field on multiple records. Let's say you wanted to change the value of the Location field for all Opportunities in a specific Location because the name of the Location had been changed, here's how you would do it:
Mass Deactivate:
Maintain the data quality in your system by deactivating data which is no longer relevant to your business. This data could be test records or data which has not been imported into Impel correctly.
